How OCRtoText reads a page
Most OCR tools dump text in the order their engine finds it, which is why pasted text comes out scrambled. OCRtoText was built around one goal: text that reads the way the page reads.
You drop or paste
A photo from your phone, a screenshot from your clipboard (Ctrl+V works), or a scanned PDF up to 10 pages. Files are accepted as JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and PDF.
Recognition runs in order
The page is deskewed and enhanced, then read top-to-bottom and column-by-column so multi-column layouts come out as coherent paragraphs instead of interleaved lines. Tables are flattened into clean text lines. Handwriting and printed text are both recognized, across 80+ languages.
Copy, download, done
The result panel shows your text with a character and word count. One click copies it to your clipboard, another downloads it as a plain .txt file.
Privacy by design
Your document is used only for the conversion, then deleted. Nothing is stored, no account is required, and the result stays in your browser. See the fullPrivacy Policy.
